Who are these modules for?
They are aimed at clinical medical students who want pharmacology teaching that is succinct and relevant to practice. These are not textbooks or encyclopaedic. From student feedback we know they are used by all year groups but more so as students progress towards becoming foundation doctors.

Who are they by?
Dr Angelo Pieris conceived and developed the modules working for Dr Patricia Revest; the head of e-learning, and Dr Jon Fuller; leader of the Centre for Medical Education who commissioned the interactive pharmacology resources in response to student feedback. Dr Sangeetha Govinda Rajoo is developing additional modules. Dr Mel Lobo, consultant physician and honorary senior lecturer in clinical pharmacology and general medicine is the subject-specialist reviewer.  Ms Karin Fernandes is the learning technologist.

Why are they open and freely available?

  • For our students and NHS teaching colleagues: In response to popular demand we want you to have easy access from NHS computers.
  • “Barts & The London” is a great place to come to study or practise medicine because of our friendly students and because contemporary and traditional values of learning and teaching are blended together; here you can sample our electronic resources that supports face to face learning at the medical school.
